GINGER FLOWER

GINGER FLOWER
This edible flower bud is amazingly perfumed herb with exquisite aromas of floral ginger and lemony rose and a musk-and-strawberry sweetness. This spectacular flower is very uncommon in countries  outside the tropics. We Asian use it quite a lot, ground up into curries and chopped up in salads, where the aromas is unmistakable in its fresh form. Look for this flower in asian markets. Choose fresh looking buds without too much wilting or browning at the edges. If unavaible, substitute a mixture of lemongrass and young ginger slices
